How it works
- Scan the receipt
- Type the total, then point the camera at it. A photo or a PDF from any app works too.
- Every line comes in, with tax, tip and fees.
- If it does not add up to your total, Tarn shows where and fixes it in a tap.
- No receipt? Type the total alone, or the amounts one by one.
- Add the people
- From your contacts. Nobody needs the app or an account.
- A name alone works for a kid or a guest; someone else can cover them.
- Claim for everyone
- Tap what each person had. Two taps on one line and it is shared.
- Or pass the phone and let each person tap their own.
- Whatever nobody claims splits evenly. Tax and tip follow each person’s share.
- Someone paid cash, or left before dessert? One tap.
- Check the math
- One number per person, and the proof it all adds up to the bill.
- Nothing goes out until you say so.
- Send the requests
- Each person gets a text from your phone with a link to their items and their share.
- One tap to pay you on Venmo, Cash App or PayPal, amount filled in.
- Mark payments as they land. The split closes when everyone has settled.
